Canyoning and canyoneering are new exciting things to do on Maui and in Hawaii. Maui Canyon Adventures Currently offers an introductory program of rappelling down 50-and 60-foot dry cliffs in a beautiful rain forest environment combined with swimming, jumping, climbing and water sliding in pools beneath waterfalls in the main part of the canyon that we use. Currently we do not have permission to rappel down the waterfalls, but we can swim and play in the pools and waterfalls.
Maui Canyon Adventures is a Charter Partner with the Maui County Council of the Boy Scouts and operates the rappelling program at Camp Maluhia.
Safety is our primary concern, and we have a competent and experienced guide staff. Our anchors, ropes, harnesses and hardware, helmets and shoes are specially-designed for the rigors of this extreme sport. All of our equipment is the best available, ropes are checked thoroughly on a daily basis, and all gear is maintained in top condition, or it is replaced. Every piece of equipment we use is rated for enormous loads.
